The Legal Stuff

Sorry to have to come over a bit strong now but all designers have a horror story about the theft of an idea or pattern at some point in their careers. I put my patterns onto this blog free for your personal use but every now and then, someone wants to know a little more. So here it is….

All my images and patterns are protected by copyright. If you would like to feature my work, you must have WRITTEN PERMISSION from me and must link back to my original blog post. If you wish to use an image, it must be displayed as you see it on my blog and it must NOT edited, cropped, or altered in any way.

If you would like to use a pattern to make items to sell (craft markets, websites of any kind, Etsy, eBay, Amazon, Craftsy, Folksy or ANY OTHER similar online or high street store) you must have written permission and give full recognition to me as the designer and original maker. Reference and link to the original blog post must be given.

But don’t worry, always feel free to ask! I am very reasonable and love to see people enjoying and using my designs. Just email me and we can work something out.

And in return I can offer you some protection too of course (that is only fair!). Although when you subscribe, I hold your email address, I promise that it is safe with me. I do not intend to sell your deets on to a third party who will badger you about cat worming treatments and roof insulation for the rest of you life.
So we’re good! This respect goes both ways and we can all enjoy craft together.

Thank you so much for your courtesy!
