You might think there was something wrong with us if I admitted at this point that we have spent the last two weeks comparing phone weather apps (Rob has Android and I have my beloved Apple) and watching the sky for signs of even a single snowflake! But that is pretty much how we have spent this Lockdown Christmas and waking up to a white world this morning meant that it was all for the win.
Last night’s wet snow got its act together and decided to stay around which meant that the lovely but strange light through the house this morning meant that is was white out.
We decided to take some time off (we both work independently from home) and go for a walk around the town. I thought that you might like to come too.
Our village is superb at any time of the year, full of listed buildings and interesting nooks and crannies and when it has a white veil, it is even more beautiful (if THAT were possible!).
Little madam stayed at home because she hates anything like this. She pretends to want to come but the whole walk is accompanied by her whingeing and asking to be carried.
There is a forest near us so we headed for that. At last I was able to show Rob some ‘proper’ German conifers with snow on and he agreed that it was like walking through a Christmas card.
Funny enough, it wasn’t cold at all. Not a breath of wind. Just calming calm.
At last, we got back home and it really was time to go to work.
See you next time! Hugs from Germany- and me!
